  Essential video editing for the web

One day in-company training course

Aimed at people who have just started to work with editing software, ie Premiere Elements or Final Cut.  All delegates are given a package of pre-recorded video material from which they will edit several videos during the day. At first the trainer will demonstrate the basic techniques, but as the day progresses all delegates work towards producing their own edited project, in their own style.

How to digitise and import your footage

First edit assembly
Delegates follow and copy the instructor as he edits a video sequence

Second edit assembly
Delegates now edit a pre-prepared sequence for themselves

Titles, Transitions, Audio, Music and Export
Delegates follow the editor as he shows them how to polish their edit by adding titles and credits, balancing the audio tracks, adding different transitions and finally exporting the video as a file

Third edit assembly
All participants are given 2 hours to edit a new video project from scratch. They are expected to import the original footage, edit clips and assemble them on the Timeline, choose transitions, edit the audio tracks, add music and titles, and finally export the finished video as a specific file.
